[SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

The story are quite original but there is one thing in my mind. Is Jean Gray really dead? I thought that she should be a rather important character in X-men.

I can't wait to see Nightcrawler. The effects in the trailer alone give me goosebumps!

[SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

From what I've read, Jean Grey is starting to go through some of the changes in the Phoenix storyline. So, no, she's not dead.

If you're going to discuss endings, future plots, etc., please have the courtesy to put a SPOILER! at the top of your post.

Hmm. As my information was taken from a commercial site, MSNBC or something, I don't think it's really a secret. Whatever you think, is best though, W@L.

LOL. Nobody else in the theatre seemed to catch on to the Phoenix transformation. As soon as I saw it, I thought "phoenix!". Actually, I have read virtually zero Marvel comics but had heard about the Phoenix / Dark Phoenix story on another forum.

These two morons behind me thought they were smart by naming different Marvel chars as they appeared onscreen but were seemingly confused with the Jean Grey "death". GG, retards. Next time, don't kick the seat next to me. Fucking spastics.

Question

Being too much of an X-Men fan, I will never see this movie (nor have I seen the other). But I did hear one clip of dialogue in which a character says, "The mutant gene is carried by the male."

Is this a joke?

That scene exists.

It occurs when Bobby / Iceman returns to his parents' house to flee the attack on the school. Iceman reveals to his parents that he is actually a mutant before telling his mother not to blame herself -- Bobby then jokes that, if anybody is to blame, it his father. At that point, he mentions your line.
