What's the big deal? I've seen thousands of misguided paintings in my life. Let the guy sell his work(crappy and historically innacurate it may be) in peace.

Haha, yeah, I want to be compared to the crusaders, they were such nice, caring people...

Read the blurb that goes with it, too.
Lunachick, you should be banned for posting that. Isn't there a rule against linking to pornography?

Subject matter aside, that is one of the worst paintings I have ever seen. Not only does Dubya not look like Dubya, but the building looks like some kind of bastardized chimera between the Whitehouse and Capitol. And it's crooked! Couldn't the "artist" have at least bothered to look at a picture of whichever building s/he was trying to render? I really hope that this person does not make a living selling his or her artwork. Or at least I hope it's a very meager living....

Wonder if Washington and Lincoln would approve of Dubya's business or military record - I think *not*.

I see pictures like this, and I get the uncontrollable sensation of drug-store candles and cheap potpourri.

The same kind of people who buy a picture like this one of Dubya also buy those paintings of angels watching little kids crossing a wooden bridge, or pictures of little girls with ribbons in their hair, hands clasped in prayer. Guaranteed to have a painting on the wall with that cheesy "Footsteps" prayer.

Laci, what's on your walls, anyhow?

That is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. I am deeply chilled to the bone, honestly.

The entire website literally reeks of repressed sexuality. That painting in particular is just a giant phallus.

It's not a guy, it's a woman named Dana.

From the website:

Quote:
Hello my name is Dana Hanson. I have always loved to draw and be creative...
...I am the brush holder and the Holy Spirit anoints my hands to paint. Most of the paintings you see here on this web page have been from visions I have seen during worship.
