RW: Now you do a pretty fair job of exposing some of the negative connotations in religion but this, in no way, establishes the existence or non-existence of God to be a finalized conclusion much less self evident.
Hello Rainbow, Koy, and others... if I could just jump in quickly. RW, it seems to me that you are not answering the hardest question of all for theists, which is: Why are all other gods fiction while yours is nonfiction? I have never seen a "proof" or piece of evidence of a god that could not be equally used to buttress the existence of an infinite number of other gods. Personally, that fact was the final nail in the coffin of my consideration of theism as a possible truth. I realized that the question "Does God (or god, or gods) exist?" is the wrong one to be asking -- it contains an embedded false dichotomy. The question is, "Why does my God (god/gods) exist, and no others?" Can you answer that one? |
