Default Question about rules

I saw this post on a thread in ~Elsewhere~

2) Refrain from inflammatory language when responding to other users. (examples: "Your idea is retarded." "That's the most fucked up shit I've ever heard.")
I don't recall seeing 2) before. So, is using language that inflammatory about someone else's ideas against the rules in all IIDB forums?

I think it probably applies to all the forums! However, it is specifically stated in the 'sticky' thread at the top of ~~Elsewhere~~, here.

While we generally try to dissuade that sort of thing throughout the IIDB, those "extra" rules were stated in ~E~ explicitly in a deliberate attempt to stop ~E~ from descending back into Rants, Raves, Preaching, etc.
