Default President Bush invites attack on troops

Quote:
"There are some who feel like that conditions are such that they can attack us there," Bush told reporters at the White House. "My answer is bring them on. We have the force necessary to deal with the situation." (emphasis added)
From Yahoo, via Reuters.

Can you believe this? Here is the President of the United Fucking States standing up in public and inviting attacks on our troops. :banghead: Can we impeach this criminal mother fucker yet? :banghead:

Thumbs down

When Bush says "bring them on," does he mean that he's personally going to stand up and fight them off? Or is he just going to have other Americans die in his place like he's always done?

What do you think?

There's already a thread on this, BTW. Commander AWOL.

And this from the guy that was too damn chicken to even live up to his National Guard commitment. Typical schoolyard bully mentality.

Anybody else notice how his beady little eyes just seem to light up and he gets animated when he talks about war - as opposed to his deer-in-the-headlights look when the subject is the economy? Does he have any conscience at all?

Kind of. I think it was his family that pulled him out. He was AWOL for a year to allegedly "clean up". At the time he was in the Nat'l Guard, sources have stated that he was alcoholic and ridin' the white pony. He then dissapeared for a year, came back cleaned up, and daddy smoothed things over with the military.
Do you think if your average Joe Blow citizen went AWOL from the Nat'l Guard or any other military branch, that they would just drop it and move on? I thought it was sort of, um, a crime.
Well, at least one point in Bush's favor. He sure did one hell of a job keeping the vietcong out of Dallas.

Yeah, daddy made a deal to keep him out of a court martial, but the shrub still could have completed his full 6 year hitch. Instead he chose to have them issue him an early (and probably illegal) H.D. when he still had over a year left to go. I.e., he shits thru feathers, imho.

HOWARD DEAN CRITICIZES BUSH FOR RECKLESS RHETORIC TOWARD IRAQI MILITANTS
Quote:
IOWA CITY, IAToday, President Bush provoked Iraqi militants targeting our soldiers in Iraq, saying Bring them on. This was incredibly reckless rhetoric.

These men and women are risking their lives every day, and the President who sent them on this mission showed tremendous insensitivity to the dangers they face. This is the wrong message to send to our troops in the field and their families who wish them a safe return. President Bush should focus on encouraging the keeping of the peace, since that is now our mission.
Dean sure is quick.

Ah, I wasn't aware that he got out of the end of it as well. I thought the year of AWOL was his last in service.

If you do go AWOL in the Nation Gaurd/Army reserves all that will happen is you go into the IRR(inactive ready reserve) and will have to pay back any Bonus or College money you received. Even then you still can get back into the Active Reserves and have nothing that bad happen to you.

So stop acting like it was daddy's cash/influence that saved him from disaster.

AND PLEASE, these militants in Iraq would attack even if bush said nothing. I take these comments by bush as him showing confidence in our military.
