Default michael savage on liberals

he was on hannity and colmes tonight, and good god this guy is a moron. he calls liberalism a "mental disorder" and says he has the following problems with them:

-they take prayer out of schools
-they take the ten commandments out of public buildings
-they support the perverts in the boy scouts (whatever this means)
-they want to teach kids to hate america

blah blah blah...

where do they get these people?

i have got to admit that i agree with his last point. at least if you include multiculturalists in your term of liberals. but if not then the guy is a complete wacko, not just an 80% wacko. but is there really much of a difference.

apparently he also supports racial profiling, and by "perverts" he meant gays.. so he's a homophobic, racist, fundie, ultra conservative. huzzah.

oh and the kids they referred to were in this country, and the comment was aimed at liberal school officials. um.. yeah.

Are you saying that multiculturalism is "hating America"? Pardon my viewpoint from the other side of the pond, but isn't there a saying about "huddled masses"? Wasn't your country built out of a melting-pot of migrants and cultures?

I don't think he means that multiculturalism is hating America, but that a lot of multicultural organizations tend to partake in reverse discrimination.

Hannity is an insult to Irish everywhere. Bastard.

But again, I don't see how you can get from, say, affirmative action to "teaching our kids to hate America", so I still don't see the link with Savage.

Of course, as Beyelzu also said, he's still "mostly" wacko, so it's not a huge difference.

The thing that's always gotten me when listening to Savage (when I'm in the mood to stomach it) is just how incredibly ignorant the guy is. He really doesn't know even the most basic facts about law and government. There is no myth too stupid for him to parrot. Most people could do better.

yeah, i just can't stand that guy. i don't know whose worse, him or savage. they both are of the "liberals bad, conservatives good" group who blames liberals for everything wrong with this country, and instead go and try to push "family values" on to everyone. then they claim they support liberty

let me be clear on multiculturalism.
in american universities (this is based on what i have read and my personal experience) multiculturalism is based not on learning about other cultures and, perhaps comparing them to western culture, but rather on making attacks on western culture. for example russian literature is not a multicultural class at uga. and in the multicultural english class my roommate took, the syllabus said that all white men were racist and rapists. also if you disagreed with these "facts" the teacher said that you should drop the class because you will fail.

but savage is still a dipshit wacko.

The type of multiculturalism here is not a melting pot. Its a "fortify and seperate" mentality. Of course some cultures are not welcome.
