Well, in the 2002 tax year, $3,000 was exempted from federal income tax for each dependent. I think there's also an Earned Income Tax Credit with additional child credits.
But AFAIK there's no payment rewards simply for having kids. Andy |

The money comes from the remaining canteen fund of soldiers, who died in WWII, which had been invested so that the children of Canada could have a little extra spending money of their own. They never realized that the dividends would amount to so much over time. |
