The Illinois legislature in its great wisdom has banned the sale of Ephedra.

While I don't like drug laws in general I don't see this as any more onerous than the drug laws and less onerrous than the laws against pot, which has medical uses for which no other stuff is as good.

Yes, there is an inter-state commerce issue. But, given that the FDA can't do shit about ephedra without extreme difficulty and a long time (like 5-6 years for rules to go through), this is probably for the best.
