I had a temp teacher one day at high school who told me she had inadvertently named her son Richard Edward. She later realised what it will be shortened to when he got to school age. Poor kid.

Then there was a guy I met who's name was David. His middle name was also David. Guess what his surname was.

Then there was the Australian politician(and later Australian ambassador to the US) Andrew Peacock(just call him Drew). Somebody else on this board actually pointed that one out, I think last year- I hadn't realised before that.

When I was working for a cable company in the UK, I came across some gems:

Mr. Mistry Natwharll.
Mr. Beaver (of Thrush Lane, Redditch)
Mrs. Feltcher (I kid you not!)

But here comes the best one of them all...
Some friends of my mum's, a long while back, where expecting their second kid. It was a boy, and they decided he should have a Dutch middle name, to give him a tie to the country he was born in (family was English). They always liked the name "Kees" (pronounced: "case"). And, in honour of a recently deceased grandfather, he was given the first name "Justin". Fortunately, Mr. and Mrs. Hyde realized in time that they were about to name their child "Justin Kees Hyde", and quickly revised their naming plans. Too right, the poor little bugger would have been give hell with a name like that!

In Springfield Virginia, there is also a Harry Beaver, and (look it up for yourself) he is a gynecologist.

Quite a few years ago my manager at the time was called Michael Hunt.

He had a meeting arranged and a girl I worked with had to collect the client and then introduce them.

She led the client into Mike's office and said Mike Hunt meet Paul Mycock.

I knew a girl named Summer Camp. Her middle name was Winter, BTW.

There was a family named Phlegm near where I grew up.
