For your further entertainment, my latest warning, albiet unofficial. I wrote this way last week sometime.

Quote:
This is an unofficial warning for a borderline violation of Rule 7 in your thread, "OK....Martin Luther." Below is your statement in bold that was removed. In the future, if you continue to complain further about specific actions taken by the staff, you will be issued a warning.
(what caused the warning)
Quote:
"Right. Please read the original post. I asked for the Protestant view of what Martin Luther did. I didn't ask for criticism of the Catholic Church. That was another thread, and, Bless my soul, a moderator closed it. I thought it was because it had gotten nasty, but apparently it was simply because I wanted to know specific reasons that Protestants felt the Catholic Church was/is in error.Hardly a reason to close a thread, but I'm beginning to understand it doesn't take much to close a thread around here. God forbid a man like me, seeking truth, asks questions."

What the hell?? I told em' I'd play nice last week and they're still on my ass. And I've played nice ever since.

Smilin, how long are you banned?

Wait, what reason do they have for blocking citations of "specific actions taken by the staff"? Do they want vague references instead?

Perhaps Seebs can correct me on this, but I seem to recall someone said once that they flag certain posters as troublemakers, and then the mods moniter them more closely. It seems to me that this may be why it seems to some like they are getting picked on. because they are, essentially. This practice sometimes seems to become a self-fulfilling prophesy. Suddenly you get no slack, so you lash out, and then you're canned. I've seen it many times.

I'm just a little ol' lurker on Christian Forums, but I have to ask this:

When reading any post by that GunnySgt person, does anybody else get the irrational urge to jump through the computer to slap him?

He is the most annoyingly patronizing person in the world.

He used to only post pictures, then upgraded to simply supplying web-links as responses. I'm afraid I've ignored him too much to become annoyed....
