hello Amie.
My friend and I were relaxing in his dads house. Out of the blue, around three in the morning, both of us were startled to hear some very loud footsteps, thundering down the staircase. The room we were in, is/was separated by a thin wooden wall and the house is very small. There was no-one else aside from Ben and I in the house. This event disturbed me and I sat for the rest of my stay clutching an iron bar. The only explanation I could think of was that an intruder had gotten in, but there was no trace of anyone going back up the steps, despite looking a few seconds after the incident. The event stopped as suddenly as it started. The footsteps have been heard on another occasion, including my friends brother and his mates. I was pleased that someone else lived to share the same story. The second event could have been a nutcase or a pederast, or both??!! I was young, around twelve years old and we decided to play hares and hounds. This time we were the hounds and had to hunt down half the group in our circle of friends. The game took place by an old textiles mill. A path ran down to the mill gates and cut a groove into a banking that formed a woodland. As the 'hounds', we travelled down this path thinking the others would be around to catch. I got to the gates and looked up. I could see something in a bush at the edge of the woodland, so I climbed the gate to get a better view. No more than two metres away, I could see two legs, in shadow, and at the time I thought that It was my friend hiding from us. I got worried, after shouting several times, because there was no reply. We ran back up the path, in our team, to wait for the others. To our surprise, all of the group that were meant to be hiding were sat chatting in the field. Who or whatever was in the bush remains a mystery. If it was a man, I'm glad I didn't stick around or throw stones at it. Well, I don't know much of ghosts, but I do know that the most skeptical of you would get the willies, and literally wee your pants, if you spent your time in some of the haunted victorian houses near where I live. I don't think I would dare to sleep in one, and I would definitely have to hold somebodys hand very tightly. |

My point earlier is in regards to the fact that many people claim to have seen ghosts, yet when someone asks, "then why didn't you take a picture of it?" a very common response is that ghosts cannot be photographed. But if ghosts can be seen, they can be photographed. The same sort of argument is often used when people claim to have heard the "ghost" in question. "Why didn't you record the sounds then?" Because ghosts can't be recorded. But if ghosts can be heard, then the sounds can be recorded -- a good microphone can be much more sensitive than the human ear. however I would love the opportunity to stay in a haunted house just to see for myself. of course I would want all of the resident skeptics to come with me, so I can hold on to them while we investigate noises. while they would be laughing, I would be on edge...would be interesting to say the least... |

Despite all my ghost stories I can tell you all that I do tend to hallucinate a lot upon waking.
On two occasions I awoke and at the foot of my bed I could see the same white head, with a very large mouth and uneven teeth, grinning at me. :My reaction was: "Ugh! what is that horrible thing." Then I turned over because I didn't want to look at it. A month after this happened I moved into the box room (so called because half the room is my bed and a quarter is my clothes drawer, leaving quarter for the door to swing open). This was so the princess (my sister) could have my big room, with king size bed and expansive wardrobe. One evening she ran down the stairs screaming and claimed that she could feel something pulling her legs, almost as though it was trying to steal her body. Perhaps this was my double trying to reclaim the bedroom. looks like I am damned Mad Kally. More recently I've had dozens of hallucinations on waking. One of the most striking was a woman standing on my bed, dressed in very plain brown clothing. This was like a dress from two hundred years ago. Another time There were shadows passing under the door. This really frightened me and I actually cried out "who's there!" Hey, has anyone read "Dreams in the witch house" by H.P. Lovecraft? Very scary stuff. |
