Well, so much for THAT theory.

Erwin just made me a mod, and asked me NOT to do the "alt account" thing - I'm temporary for now, but I'm basically checks and balances.

I sure didn't expect that. I'm starting to investigate one of the old complaints I heard once.

No doubt this was before my time here. Why was it suggested for E/C in particular?

Really confused. I didn't realize it was happening; I got PM'd about it about half an hour after the announcement. So, now I get to see all the staff forum stuff - which is confidential.

I think I won't get in trouble for letting you know that it's not mostly porn.

That 'mostly' word might get you into trouble .

I guess I'm cynical, but the phrase "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer" comes to mind.

Snap! I thought the same thing when I read seebs' post.

Watch your back, seebs. I think you'd make a wonderful moderator - you are fair and honest. But, I dunno - something doesn't sit right with me on this one. After reading a few pages of the CF thread, I can't help but smell a rat.

Take care in there.

Congrats, seebs!

I see you weren't given the chance to refuse. It's win-win for them either way. I hope that it will end up being a win-win for all involved.

Indeed. However, the fact is, one of the reasons I was so slow to fuss about my concerns about moderation is that I'm one of the "charmed" users - one warning in an entire year, and that was retracted when I apologized. If they wanted to be rid of me, it would be easy.
