According to the ICC (Internet Criminal Code) Section 124A.34:

"It is unlawful to post messages on a message board, engage in the use of 'chat rooms' (IRC, AOLChat, MSN Chat, etc.), be in physical control of a computer with an internet connection*, or otherwise take part in multi-user internet conversations when the person's alcohol concentration is 0.10 percent (one-tenth of one percent) or more-i.e., the 'per se' limit.

*Courts have generally interpreted "physical control" to mean seated in front of the computer, hands suspended above the keyboard, with the power on."

So, I don't think the .08 law has passed yet.

What the hell is PWI and DWI? I can't be doing with all these figures and stuff when I'm as rat-arsed (and tired) as I am now. I submit that as long as I can write grammatically and correctly spelt English and don't make typos then I'm not too pissed to post even though I can hardly stand up.

BTW, rat-arsed means drunk. If I wasn't so blathered would be tempted to start a thread asking how many slang words there are for 'drunk' in all varieties of English.

I would hazard that PWI is Posting While Intoxicated, since DWI is Driving While Intoxicated.

I usually do my drunk posting on another board.
