Given Dembski's content-free post, and the determination of the ID supporters to avoid an actual discussion of the factual content of Dr. Forrest's letter, or the ethical lapse of not informing the participants fully of the purposes of the conference (making the letter necessary), I'd prefer answering questions from a newbie TA anytime. At least TAs do something of value in education, a claim I think cannot be made for ID. |

Are you talking about the "This is SO disappointing!" thread? There's not really much to refute.

Well his views on evolution are pretty well displayed there in the thread in its entirety including page 5. Where praytell (on which thread) IS he "refuted" or is this just the same old game of self-congratulation?
Cheers! |

I really have no idea what you are talking about. Be more specific.

More pathetic recruiting efforts by leonard(e):
"Go ARN! ARN is #1. We have DNAUnion. Yeah!" Blowing smoke? Sounds like leonard(e) blows, too. But does he swallow? Or perhaps he inhales? You see, people, leonard(e) comes from a land where an unscathed troll(e) is a righteous troll(e). To him, leaving any argument is a sure sign of defeat, regardless of its merits. Why is that? Well, leonard(e) hinted at the answer. He keeps harping on high school level immaturity, which of course only he would know so well. After all, only a few months ago, he was an active participant on la-la land designed "for undergraduates and high-school students," churning out nearly half of ARNs posts. Fielding questions from high school students and undergraduates? *laugh* Indeed, the only people there were leonard(e) and his friends. But the trauma of the Ides of March forced him to come here to confront, gasp, the horrors of SARCASM and godless infantiles. Then the Douglas lynching. And then the Shroud fiasco. It is just all too much for one man to take! Hence his present protests. "Go ARN Go. We're the forum of mature and scientific discourse!" I think not, SC EDIT, to add some more of leonard(e)'s proud achievements: Quote:

WOW!! You REALLY got me with THAT one! Touche! I'd best call it quits. Oh - one question: At what age can we expect folks to stop posting silly made-up poems and songs about their internet discussion board experiences? [ April 21, 2002: Message edited by: pangloss ]
|

I didn't make any claim. The claim was that
an undergraduatebiology student "could refute" DNAunion. There are, I assume, many such undergrads on this forum where DNA usually posts. So where in all of those threads is a refutation? Cheers! |
