Default "If it weren't for my horse, I'd never have spent that year in college"

I heard the Louis Black routine ages ago, but this little snippet just occurred to me today as I was walking around campus.

Has anyone ever actually figured out what this could mean?

maybe she said Horst, and he was a very close friend who had encouraged her?

Her car broke down, all of the buses, trains, taxis, and all other cars in the area spontaneously exploded, she was too poor to take a plane, and the route from her house to her college wasn't anywhere near water so she couldn't take a boat. Her trusty steed, Nelly, saved the day by allowing her to ride to school on horseback. After a year, she dropped out and started allowing scientists to perform experiments on her for money, and she now has three arms, a tail, and an extra pair of feet on the top of her head.

It makes perfect sense.

You're forgetting the most important thing, as Lewis Black said, "Don't--DON'T--think about that for more than two seconds or blood will shoot out your nose!"

I lurves me some Lewis Black.

Have you seen his more recent Comedy Central Presents? The one where he talks about Aerosmith doing the Superbowl halftime show with N'sync. It was brilliant! I was in tears. I wish I could remember more jokes than that. I'm pretty sure he said some priceless stuff about GWB. Next time it's on, I'll have to remember to be sober or tape it.

And I have no idea about the horse, but I like how he pronounces it hooo-erse.
