I think these guys are for real; they seem to be against the Landover Baptist Church, a beautifully funny (like Monty Python) parody site, created by Chris Harper (a noted athiest). You can view the their "shutdown landover baptist church" site here.
They used to be the first link when you entered "baptist" into the google search engine. Its a shame that they were demoted... Also, if you click on their link to see their progress of shutting down landover & the connected www.whitehouse.org site, I found this clever passage: "Using the Harperian tactic of hiding behind a difficult-to-find parody notification (which all parody is legally required to have), 'whitehouse.org' has been smearing the Bush administration and attacking Christianity through wanton mischaracterization." And the problem is??? :banghead: I guess I didn't know it was against the law not to tell someone if you're joking... man these people piss me off... -Z |

Haha, that anti-Landover page reads from something straight out of ... Landover Baptist! heh My favorite was the actions they would take at the end:
"If none of this works, we must inform the authorities of this obvious instance of anti-Christian hate crime, which is illegal in most areas. If it isn't illegal, we must pressure our congressmen to make it so!" It doesn't surprise me that someone so deluded doesn't know what either a hate crime or the first ammendment are. |

These people should be in mental institutes, and also, anybody that ever says "hate crime" as opposed to just "crime" needs a good smack anyway, I will never ever get why there are "hate crimes." Ah well, just the way it is I guess...
EDIT: Hahaha, that anti-landover baptist page is just too stupid to be true, these people must be kidding. |

Is there any reason to believe that these guys are or are not a fake?? I could certainly see them really being a sub-sect of Landover. I never really thought about it; what better way for Chris Harper to gain even more fame and support?? also, if you look at their staff, you see that is is uncannily like landover's. And... there is this younger guy that is keeps their site up that supposedly used to work for Landover, but now, he's on the "right" side. His sites are also very strange and funny in the "Landover" sense.

Hmm. Landover / anti-Landover the same, happy bunch of slightly mad satirists? I hadn't thought of that. Possible, I suppose, why not? It would cretainly be fun.
I haven't visited the anti-Landover site in a long time. Guess I'll check it out again. doov |

I may have been converted.....
I thought it was genuine at first, but I'm starting to lean toward parody now. Check out their website for kids .
Notable mentions: "If you see an atheist, AVOID TALKING TO THEM... let the adults handle them." And the maze where you can help Lambuel the lamb get to church while avoiding temptations (one of the 'temptations' is a set of voluptuous red lips!) |

also, if the objective xians were part of landover, then all of the sales from their apparel section would be profiting mr. harper. it scares me though, because there are several items that are out of stock! who buys this crap, especially at outrageous prices???
-Z I think I saw a guy with a "zounds" shirt once... |
