Suppose, say, a five-year-old girl was put into a coma. She remained in that state for 25 years, when she "woke up." Now, she has a 25-year-old woman's body, but wouldn't she still have a five-year-old girl's mind? What would it be like to get knocked out small and skinny, and wake up three times your previous size, and with a totally different shape? Are there any case examples of situations like this?

Awakenings is a fascinating story.
Youll find that the answers to your questions are yes, and that it was a very bewildering and tragic experience for those involved. |
