I just want to know where he gets these ideas.

Thumbs down

I see no difference between his definition of the "evil" side and his definition of the "good" side. They both look like horrible places to be.

I can't believe that he thinks it is real. I mean really, how old is Chick? He appears to have the mind of a three-year-old.

Hi Abacus,

Sometimes, when I get really, really cynical, I think that he must not believe any of it at all. He might be doing this just to make money. He might be doing it for the sheer pleasure of pissing people off, or ruining their lives. He might be doing this because he doesn't really think that anyone takes it seriously.

On the other hand, I've run into many people who insist they believe things I find really strange, paranoid, or treading on mental illness. So I think he could believe it, though why might not be apparent to any person with a rational brain.

I'm not sure which is greater: my cynicism or human stupidity.

Ya know, it's amazing enough to me that these people would give their entire life to a god. But to believe that a devil of some sort creates childrens games and books to lure them in, thats just freakish! I have never played D & D, but I had friends way back in high school that did now and again. I wonder if they have fallen to the dark side or have been saved, LOL!!!

Me too, I sadly have to say. But it still amazes me (in a bad way).

I strongly suspect human stupidity is infinite. Surely your cynicism isn't infinite also.

Oh, I don't know. Sometimes it feels like it's my cynicism .

On the other hand, I suppose I have to consider the source. I had a classmate of mine tell me she got physically sick at my suggestion that perhaps the Spainards who came to the New World to spread Christianity wanted slaves and gold more than they wanted to spread the faith of God. To me, that just seemed common sense.

Maybe I am too cynical. On the other hand, I think I'd rather be that way than constantly cowering because I believed everything everybody told me.

Or maybe you're too truthful.

The thing I find most disturbing is that he expects people to pay for their own brainwashing.

Do people actually pony up two hard-earned dollars for this pot of bilge?
