Oh well. So someone who takes a political stance suffers backlash. What's so new about this? MLB doesn't have to let Robbins speak about anything. At this time, maybe they don't want to take the risk of him going off on a political rant.

Charleton Heston chose to take the position of President of the NRA a few years back and the man's been excoriated time after time by his colleagues in show business. According to Heston, his strong 2nd Amendment stance has cost him acting roles on several occasions and he's even been the face of gun evil in Michael Moore's "Bowling for Columbine". Heston has suffered the backlash of a strong opinion. Is that unfair? Or does he "just have it coming to him" by those whose opinions differ from his?

Tim Robbins? Being treated unfairly? Tough shit.

I heard his speech yesterday on the way home from work and at times he sounded like a spoiled child. He can say whatever he wants to say but that doesn't mean that anyone is obliged to agree with or admire him for it.
You don't think it's hypocritical to chastise Michael Moore for using a public forum to express his political views and praise the President of the Baseball Hall of Fame when he does the same thing?

Point out where I praised Baseball's president.
I also have every right to be critical of Michael Moore. My thread here that was critical of him pointed out the many mischaracterizations and dishonesties that are in "Bowling for Columbine".

The same goes for anyone who chooses to use their fame as a political forum. There are risks involved. People don't have to like what you or anyone says and they have the right to respond by not endorsing or buying that person's products.

Tim Robbins strikes me as a crybaby who's pissed that people don't agree with him. He's a melodramatic drama queen with "A CHEEEL WIND IS BLOWING ACROSS THIS LOND".
Save it for the movies Timmah.

Spoken with a true Limbaughesque flair. Rush must be so proud of his followers.

As for Heston, if you've seen Bowling for Columbine there are a few details about Chuck that are undeniable, and probably are more responsible for his inability to get acting jobs than his Moses-like gigs for the NRA. Did you see the guy? See him talk, see him walk? He's going the Reagan way, and quick. He'll soon be talking to dead relatives and smearing his shit on the walls. His mind is only a few steps away from gone.

Don't accuse me of being a Limbaugh lover. Just because I find Robbins drama queen rhetoric to be annoying doesn't mean that I'm some sort of Republican wonk.

I apologize if I've mislabeled how you've acquired your pigeonholing techniques. Tell me, how long does one need to practice freethought before one is able to fully recognize and understand "drama queen rhetoric"? I'm happy to say it still escapes me.
