I think a lot of people are misspelling his name just to expose his hypocrisy. He calls Morton “Moron” and Plimer “Slimer”, so it is funny when someone writes “Safarti” or “Sarafati” to watch “Socrates” get bent out of shape. I don’t know if I have ever seen a bigger hypocrite.

By the way, I have been lurking here at II for probably 3 years. I just got around to registering this morning. But I feel like I know most of you already.

Don’t get yourself banned, Joe! Where else are you going to get to engage Sarfati, face to face, in a public forum?

Hey Fedmahn, welcome to you, too!

I sincerly hope you and Joe become regulars here. I've read your posts at Tweb and find them to be excellent.

The thing about intentionly misspelling Socs name or handle (I've thought of 'Socratwit) is that we'd be reducing ourselves to his level. Much better to bury him in facts, than to go to the grammer school playgrounds.

Actually, I enjoy Soc. He's so far out, that he's almost back in again.

Ah, but he is. The only question is: Back in where?

I've seen DDW resort to name calling in PMs, so I think your point is accurate. She also basically said that violating the "anonymity" rule is more egregious than flaming and calling names. So apparantly it is acceptable to call people names, so long as it is not their real name.

He has provided bibilcal justification for doing so, so who is Dee Dee to argue with that?
If I were a christian, I'd be wary of any "biblical justification" that comes from a man who thinks that the sermon on the mount was "be nice to people like you; you can be a jerk to everyone else."

I've noticed Socratism is starting to Fundy out in there. He said that a better paradigm would be choosen and evolution would be dropped. I noted that creationism was the paradigm that was dropped for evolution. He then goes on to claim that I'm ~"celebrating victory like Satan did with the death of Christ". You don't get more Fundy than that, when talking about science.

He was also trying to pull some "feasibility study" crap on Math and The Ark. I pretty much countered with what I've been saying about the "Korean Paper" all along. It has no data within it. He hasn't responded much.

Does anyone know what Socratism does for a living?

However, Sarfati is, in fact, not here, so nobody is 'stooping' to his level. At PropWeb, I, for example, have not purposely misspelled his name. Nor would I. Here, howevber, I thought the idea was sort to have a thread to bitch about how the 'other side' has to distort, have double standards, etc., and if some of us have a little fun at their expense, so be it. Some of you take this stuff way too seriously...

I stand, if not corrected, at least enlightened.

So okay, let us bust his ass with facts at Tweb and ridicule him here.

Soc-ism does seem to be slipping into an Hyde persona, doesn't he?

Hey Pangloss, how you doing? Well, the joke I really want to make with DOGmatic fundamentalists is to refer to them as FIDOists, but that's really too sophomoric. Anyway, I am watching Sarfati carefully to see if he will actually indulge in scientific discourse. I've asked many pointed questions regarding flood strata and nothing but dodging so far. The duck-billed platypus thread is hilarious. It's almost as if creationists are admitting this is an intermediate while claiming no such thing is found in nature. It's weird, weird logic.

Cheers

The first post of Elvis Rehnquist's that was deleted asked why Ken Ham wasn't using his millions for "creation research" instead of building a museum.

The next one was asking the moderator why it was a "stunt" to ask that perfectly legitimate question in a thread about "creation research."

The post about women creationists did suggest women were smarter than men, and also mentioned creationist "cheerleaders" Nancy Pearcey and Phyllis Schlafly, who were described as a "tinpot philosopher" and a "squawking nutburger," respectively.

Check out Bob Jenkins' avatar.
