All hypothetical "what if" arguments are useless. I mostly create an absurd copy of it:
If vampires exist.. and you believe them and correctly put garlic around your bed at night, then you're safe. and you don't believe it, you might be killed or whatever. However, if vampires doesn't exist, and you believe it, you lose nothing. and you don't believe it, you win nothing. |
