Many scholars don't believe the passage in Josephus is original. They believe it was added later by Christian apologists.
Most of the stuff in the bible referring to Jesus being son of god, performing miracles, and resurrecting were written decades later by apologists.
I don't think there's any real truth to those stories at all, other than some of Jesus' teachings, like "love your enemies, etc".
I think the teachings about him being divine and hell and resurrection and the virgin birth were all made up.
