Folks:
While it certainly is true that there are Americans who argue that CSS (church-state separation) goes against the US heritage, this is not what is mainly at issue. The key complaint, which I'm afraid has some force, is that CSS is itself tied to some religious claim (atheism, gnosticism, deism, ...) |
