I have a strong preference for blue eyes of all "shades" (blue-grey, baby-blue, blue with a hint of green...) Mine are what someone once called "ocean blue" - sometimes bright and sometimes stormy.

Almost everyone in my family has blue eyes, and my 4-yr-old nephew has lucked out with that almost ice-blue color.

I have a particular weakness for men (or women) with fairly dark hair and blue eyes.

I do think brown eyes can be quite beautiful though, a girlfriend of mine has eyes I say look like "velvety dark chocolate" and my to-be-ex-husband's are a very warm almost ambery-brown.

I have a bit of a thing for guys with green eyes. My last boyfriend before the fiance had beautiful HUGE green eyes with yellow and black flecks. Remarkable -- he looked like he could see in the dark.

That coloring you sometimes see on people from the Mideast and southern Italy -- black hair, olive skin, and light green or gray or hazel eyes -- just rocks my world.

And people with different-colored eyes are way great.

I got this terrific blue-eyed Swede/Czech now, and he is my favorite all around.

My own eyes are light yellow-brown with a black rim.

i love brown eyes.

my own eyes are grey-green. sometimes they'll turn a very dark, forest green...which is pretty cool. my husband's eye color ranges from hazel-green to brown.

I thought mine were light brown, my drivers license says "Brown" but Mom said they were hazel.

I have very fair pink skin, my eyes are green specks/light brown and in direct sunlight the brown is gold, if that means hazel. My hair is that blah brown color that we call "dishwater blond" or "dishwater brown" in Texas. I'm Scots-Irish on mom's side and English on Dad's side. Pretty waspy and boring. Cannot tan at all, and no redheads in the family.

I think both my folks had hazel eyes or at least light brown. When I was little my hair was practically platinum blonde, and I still think of myself as a blonde although I'm not anymore.

My daughter's hair, skin and eyes are the same color as mine but her daddy is one-quarter Choctaw, six and a half feet tall and has blue eyes and freckles and looks like Red Green of TV show fame, only taller (I kid you not).

I knew a German girl in high school who had very light blond hair, freckles and grey eyes. Nice combination.

I can't think of anyone with violet eyes except Liz Taylor.
Guess I just haven't gotten around much and live under a rock.

I voted for hazel. My two past and one future hubby all have blue eyes.

Believe it or not, I have never met anyone with black eyes. Dark brown, yes, but not black.

I have... on a blond I was in love with for years. I couldn't tell where his pupils ended and his irises began. The contrast between that and the pale hair was amazing.
