Heck Rev. Joshua has been such a thorn in the Fundy paw that they created a "No Rev. Joshuas Forum." Take this thread, Another thread on homosexuals, for an example of why they wanted a stupids only forum.
The first thing said in that thread...

Quote:
Homosexual behaviour is wrong. This thread is not to discuss the issue. I just wanted to get an idea of who believed homosexuality is a sin in whatever circumstance.

If you think I am wrong, then keep it to yourself, this isn't a thread to discuss it.

SO, if you agree that it is wrong, just add your name and perhaps the strongest Scripture you know of that supports your belief.
....says it all.

Perhaps they would find it fulfilling to unwind, after such a challenging exchange, with game of Monopoly.

Played alone.

They would probably win that one too.

The more fundamentalist stuff that I read, the more I think that you mispelled "Dork ages." I had the good fortune not to be raised as a theist, so I was really pretty naive about the Xian mindset. Most of the time I think "these people can't be serious" but it seems that they are. I then find myself wondering "most Xians don't believe this stuff, do they?"

There is a thread on BB where some people actually agree with the premise that "homosexuality is caused by unclean spirits" and that these spirits can infect you if you get to close to a homosexual. When I saw the first post, I thought "Oh yeah, an athiest troll trying to make Xians look bad." But a number of people on the thread agreed!

Maybe I just underestimate how long people can carry on a sick joke?

Happy Wonderer: "Maybe I just underestimate how long people can carry on a sick joke?"

About two-thousand years and counting, it seems.

No, I think most Christians don't believe this stuff. But they aren't the ones who spend all day venting on bulletin boards, so we don't come across them so much.

They also aren't the ones spending millions of dollars on political candidates.

I'm envious. You got to skip over the dumb parts in life. I trudged through them, bible in hand.

edited to add:

I found this while scanning the gay thread:
Quote:
Call me old-fashioned, but one's sexuality is a private matter between the person and God
I want to know how this person got into god's pants. Maybe I'm reading this wrong. Does that say he/she masturbates to God?
