To answer your question about the Dead Sea Scrolls, scholars almost universally agree that Jesus is not mentioned anywhere in the DSS. (There were some sensational claims made about possible NT gospel fragments found among the Greek fragments of cave VII. But no serious Qumran scholars believe this.) The value of DSS research to the study of early Christianity lies in its ability to better contextualize Jewish sectarianism during the late Second Temple period, particularly with regard to eschatology, messianism, law, social behavior, etc.
