Guy James has been doing his own show out of Naples, FL for several months, entirely out of his own pocket. Wealthy & influential Democrats, while acknowledging the need for liberal talk radio to combat Rush Limbaugh & other conservative talk shows, refuse to give any financial support. Advertisers are apparently scared away, having seen the vehement attacks on those who associate themselves with left-leaning views. Guy has recently started receiving donations from concerned citizens around the nation, ordinary people without a lot of money, each giving a little. These donations have enabled the Guy James Show ( http://www.theguyjamesshow.com/ ) to begin streaming live on the net this Saturday, from 3-6 pm, EST. Listeners can call in live, as well.

My intention in posting this is not to try & raise money for The Guy James Show, although that would be nice. I wanted to provide a little background for those who are interested in being able to listen to progressive talk radio. As an added plus, Guy's guest this weekend will be James Carville.

The Guy James Show wouldn't stream very well for me. Hopefully there are a lot of ex-Hannitized tuning in anxious for something new. I haven't had a chance to check out the others yet, but I will.
