Didn't see any threads on this yet, so....
Saw it this afternoon. Beautiful, light, funny, endearing, earnest. All the things you expect from a Pixar movie. Probably my favorite Pixar movie now, and that's saying something; I've yet to see anything much less than stellar from them. If you don't like theatres full of kids, go to a late showing, or a weekday show before 3:00. Otherwise, though, no complaints at all. Sometimes I feel I got cheated by the ticket price. This time, however, it was well worth the $5.50, and more. Even the surfer/turtle wasn't very obnoxious. Great stuff, all around. Heartily recommended, especially if you have a 9-year-old to take as an excuse. |

My sister and I are planning to see it later today (unless she wants to see X2 instead--I've already seen that though).

I took our 5 year old on Friday and the place was packed with the little ankle biters but it was so much fun listening to them laugh! Why some brought babies though...I really hate that!
The daughter thought it was great and wanted to see it again and I admit that I loved it too and will be anxiously waiting for it to come out on DVD. I give it a two thumbs up Dude. Totally. |

I'm not big into Pixar. I think their movies have great parts, but lag in parts as well. Personally I loved the Aliens and The Clawwwwwwwww. The previews look decent for Nemo, mainly the Sharks, Fish are our friends, not to be eaten. But I'll hold judgement for when Nemo is on Cable.

I liked it, but I thought it was ... light and fluffy, even compared to Pixar's other films. Definitely more geared to kids and less to whole families than either of the Toy Storys. I liked it at least as much as Bug's Life, which till now has been my least favorite Pixar film.
Of course, saying "my least favorite Pixar Film" is sort of like saying "my least favorite scoop of chocolate ice cream." It's still good to have! ![]() Visually, this film does blow their other films out of the water [pun intended!]. There was one shot [SPOILERS!] in the mouth of the whale where the water effects, and the flesh and scale textures, were so damn real I thought for a second that they'd switched to live-action models. --W@L |

While I enjoyed the movie (especially Ellen's character), I would have to rank it below Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and Monsters Inc, but above A Bug's Life.

I loved it. Probably my favorite so far... I don't think it was light and fluffy at all... it was about a dad searching for his lost kid (the rest of whom he'd seen get killed)... thats not a haha situation. Pretty heavy stuff but it was handled fantastically.
But man, i assume the opening scene was pretty scary for kids... |
