Attn short guys! Date me! I'll boost your self esteem!

I prefer tall men, but have ended up dating alot of guys shorter than me in the past just because they seemed to be the ones attracted to tall girls. I am 6'0" and back in college it was almost always the slightly shorter than me crowd that was hitting on me. Oddly enough most of my boyfriends liked for me to wear really high heeled shoes to make the difference in height even more dramatic (freaks! ) Most of the really tall guys went for girls closer to 5'0".

My husband is 6'4" so I did finally find/fall for a tall guy. The really cool thing is that my sons are almost guaranteed to be very tall as well.

Personally, I think all different types of men are attractive and there is no exception in the tall category.

I can't recall dating anyone at tall as you Voltaire. Although I have dated tall men. I am only 5 foot 4 or so - but much taller with a nice pair of heels. My husband is 5 foot 10 or 11.

I have cousins your height and taller. It's pretty sad when even kneeling (for a dance at his sisters wedding) my one cousin (6'8) was STILL taller then me!

I'm 6'2" and I find myself attracted to short, petite women, though I certainly don't discriminate, as my current girlfriend can attest to, she's 5' 10".

I don't know why, I just like the smallness of a woman somehow, and I'm a pretty big guy.

Maybe it's because you can sit them down on you and give 'em a spin for that extra special fun...

(Did I say that out loud?)

I think the real question is: where are all the tall women? I'm 6'8" and the every woman I've dated has been 5'2" or less, and not because of any intention on my part.

My girlfriend is 5'7" and wishes I'd stopped getting taller a couple years ago (when I was about 6'0"). The last time I saw my doctor (a few months ago) he did this whole measuring dealey and said I was 6'1" and probably still growing. I'm not sure if I believe it though. I sort of find it hard to believe because both of my parents are short and my extended family doesn't have a lot of tall people (except one cousin who's 6'7").

Damn. Am I the only tall woman here? I'm the only one who answered the poll apparently.

I thought for sure there would be more than one or 2 of us on a board this size.

All other things being equal, I said "tall", but it's really not that important.

I was taller than all the guys in sixth grade, but then I pretty much quit growing. It took me until about 10th grade when I realized most of the guys had passed me up. Although I'm only 5'6", I feel like I'm about equal to people 5'8".

My ex was 6'2".

Is there a trend among younger women for more "boyish" men? I heard from my sister-in-law that young guys are shaving their chests, etc.

It's been a trend for a long time, at least in my experience. When I was younger(20's and I am now 31) I did prefer a man who didn't have a hairy chest, but as I got older that preference changed and I almost prefer it. I am not talking a man who is hairy beast, but distinctly masculine is how I view that aspect of the male body. I REALLY like it, along with a pair of masculine, hairy, strong legs ... that treasure trail... Mmmmm .... nice.
