I understand exactly what anarchism is without having to consult 100 pages of an online FAQ. Just look in any dictionary:

The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language
anarchism The theory or doctrine that all forms of government are oppressive and undesirable and should be abolished.
Active resistance and terrorism against the state, as used by some anarchists.
Rejection of all forms of coercive control and authority: He was inclined to anarchism; he hated system and organization and uniformity (Bertrand Russell).

WordNet 1.6, 1997 Princeton University
anarchism a political theory favoring the abolition of governments

Merriam-Webster
anarchism a political theory holding all forms of governmental authority to be unnecessary and undesirable and advocating a society based on voluntary cooperation and free association of individuals and groups

Seems to me anarchism is a pretty simple way of life. No govt.

When I talk about socialism I talk specifically a form of govt. Even libertarians advocate SOME form of govt. True anarchists cannot advocate any form of govt.

Hence my question: Isn't anarchism the lack of govt alltogether?

Of course it is. I find it odd nobody here seems to understand that.

I understand this aspect. Really I do. I'm talking specifically about forms of govt though, and the fact that anarchism is not a form of govt. I totally understand there are different forms of life under true anarchy, be it socialistic or whatever.

Anarchist theory does call for the abolition of private property as it is defined by socialists. Here is a clip from the anarchist FAQ:
Thank you for the quote. Just keep in mind that I am not arguing that under true anarchy that there are no property rights, but under socialist govts that is not the case.

If you do know a form of socialism where property rights are there, please tell me.

Not necessarily, most anarchists dont seek to abolish all forms of currency, just change the system of how its used.
I'm just saying there is no economic standard. A gold bar has a different value to different people. I really don't see how a standard economy can survive without a govt. But then again I'm not really worried about it since anarchy would never last.

Libertarians want some form of govt. Anarchists do not. Socialists want some form of govt. Someone that wants socialism with no form of govt is ultimately an anarchist. IMRO.
