not really, there is an age of question asked by socrates that goes something like this: is the good good because god loves it, or does god love the good because it is good?

if you believe good is good because god loves it then you're equating might and right; if you believe god loves the good because it is good then you're saying morality is meaningless unless there is a meta-divine power above god.

I've debated this with many fundie acquaintances before. What kind of moral restraint does the Christian faith offer if non-belief is a higher crime than any other. That's why TRADITIONAL Christian theology is actually more justified than born-again Christian theology. I would rather see someone burn in hell for killing a bunch of people, instead of burning in hell for nonbelief themselves.
