I think I've made my stance on Atkins fairly clear by now...

whats the point of the atkins diet? or any diet ??

i lost 25 pounds just changing to a healthy, normal diet (food triangle biatch), ate whenever I was hungry, and ran 4 miles daily in 2 months. i didnt need any special instructions--i just did what was normal in a healthy life. i mean...shouldnt this work for everyone? health and exercise...?

Yep. But most people aren't running four miles a day.

And despite what people say, Atkins is mostly about getting rid of junk carbs that are so prevalent in the American diet. It just starts with the meat bit.

If you're feeling adventurous, check out here and here. If you have any interest in starting a new thread on the topic, I'm more than willing to bash my head against that particular rock some more.

When I lost weight on a diet, my FIL asked me how I did it. I said I just prayed really hard. He got pissed and said that he did that. I just smiled smuggly and said he didn't pray hard enough...
Lord, please release me from the temptation to eat this box of dougnuts...

You can run one, or two. Or run/walk two. Or if you cant run, just walk. The effect should be the same, just eat less to balance out the calorie levels. Honestly, I don't know ANYONE who doesnt have 30 minutes of free time when they could get some exercise in. Of course my running took a little longer than 30 but not too much. 8:30 minute mile is kind of slow.
