Default French Atrocities on British-American graves

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2003150899,00.html

French yobs have desecrated the graves of brave Americans and Britons who died in France to save their cowardly arses from the Germans in WWI and WWII. They are spray painting profanities, and swastikas on many grave markers. I hope we can move all of those graves from France, enemy territory, back to America. After we finish with Iraq, we need to send the fleet and air force and destroy the command and communication facilities in Northern France. Occupy the area to remove the graves. And while we are at it I would love a cruise missile to go off course and demolish the Notre Dame Cathedral, monument to ignorance and supoerstition.

France has every right to disagree with America, but France has moved from simple dissent to active hostility toward America. France President Chirac warned East nations that if they sided with the US, France would oppose their membership in the European Union. This very week, William Safire reported in the New York Times that France has been secretly helping to arm Iraq and has been helping Irag build long range missiles. These same missiles may NOW possibly be used against our own UK and US soldiers.

The French are as much if not more our enemies than Iraq. I would rather be bombing France. They are particularly nasty to the British. And I thank them for that. Maybe now we can form a rival EU with Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Scandinavia, the East European countries, and exclude the Germans, Belgiums, and the perfidy of the French.

This very week, William Safire reported in the New York Times that France has been secretly helping to arm Iraq and has been helping Irag build long range missiles. Just as France has exercised its right to disagree, all Americans can exercise their right to boycott and help countries that do not stand with us.

Lastly, a French compay was awarded a $700 million plus contract to operate the 55 mess halls of our US Marine facilities. Call your congressman and ask that this be rescinded regardless of the cost. This is an absolute insult to our Marines.

I agree completely. We saved the Frenchs asses in WWII, and look at what theyre doing now! We should boycott everything the French has ever given us. Might as well do it in chronological order-well be returning the US to British rule at the end of this week.

Might as well give the Statue of Liberty back, too. It's not like we'll be needing it.

I'd say they're just pretty lucky it wasn't awarded to a Polish caterer. I know which one I'd pick.

I just love these pointless fights between American idiots and French idiots. Tell me why this world is worth preserving again?

BTW, needless to say that your reaction is far over the top Fiach. Yes it's a horribly disrespectful act, but as the article itself reports ...
Quote:
Appalled local MP Jacques Lang said: It is an attack on the memory of the British and American soldiers who contributed to the liberation of our soil.

Police captain Thibault Martin added: It is sick and cowardly.
Your reaction is hardly constructive & shows little better mentality than those who desecrated the graves.

Fiach's reaction is totally over-the-top, and I'm not inclined to take defacement of graves as representative of general French opinion, but this is a bit disturbing:

One in three French backs Saddam

Quote:
Relations will be further rent by a second poll, in Le Monde, showing that only a third of the French felt that they were on the same side as the Americans and British, and that another third desired outright Iraqi victory over les anglo-saxons.

Jesse, just because they want the Iraqis to win does not mean that they "back Saddam". There are lots of people around the world that want the Iraqis - not Saddam - to win this war against the invaders.
