I guess I need to find out what you mean by subject and object. Suppose I see a lamp and begin thinking about how electricity works. Am I the subject and is the lamp the object? Or is "How Electricity Works" the subject? Or am I totally wrong?

Thanks for the interest. The two words in question are "subject" and "object". Subject notmally calls itself "I". Object includes anything to which a subject can be concious whether it be a lamp or an idea. An idea can be how electricity works or something like the idea of time(in reference to an earlier post of yours).

IMHO subject and object are not two separate things, but are one and the same thing. I would say then, "reality" consists in the polarity between the subjectivity of the individual mind and the objective world it perceives. What we normally call the objective is merely one pole of what is a unitary process. What we call subjective experience is the other pole, but they are not really divided from each other.

...we simply think we know we exist.
This argument made me halt. Isn't this a paradox?
If I didn't exist I couldn't think I might not exist.
"I exist" is a self-evident argument.

Your initial qy here is truly meaningless ("Do you & I exist?"), because it is not answerable . Can't we find better qqs to ask?

Do you mean the cosmic being/s were too bored being omniscient so they decide to invent consciousness and live little lives and forget it all then live another life? And can these lives be in a mixed up order? How many conscious beings are there? (Maybe just one, who travels through time being everyone...)

why, dats a pretty cool thought....but imagine the implications! That means a few of us are really concious beings while the rest of us are mere holograms or figments of imagination

Now the reader must be wondering if this posting is really real or a creation of an illusion!

whoever the croco guy is, he's sure got a healthy imagination!
