Hedwig,

Are you posting regarding a defence of eating meat?

Well, if it makes you feel better to think so, go ahead. Unfortunately, you haven't shown my position to be any less rational than yours.

What is the yardstick for your morals, tronvillain?

Nope. That's why I mentioned in my first post that I'm lurking (check on the last page and you'll see me agreeing with tronvillian, even though I have, in my life, been raped.)

I just stepped out of lurk mode to make a snide comment. I see no reason to defend the fact that I like steak.

Perhaps you should tell me what yours is so I'll have some idea what you're talking about.

What do you measure your morals against? What is your reference?

Well, I'll have to see your reply to be sure, but ultimately I don't have one. Of course, I don't think that you ultimately have one either.

Thanks. I guess you see no reason for anyone to defend the fact that they like raping either.

Which is worse, slaughtering an animal for one's appetite, or raping another person for one's appetite?

As you don't have anything to measure your moral position against. I don't think you have constructed a moral position at all.

I have stated my moral position a number of times.
