Default Abnormal Normality

Is it normal to be abnormal and if so how abnormal is normal?

That really depends on your definition of normal. It's all relative.

Posting nude pictures of children on your website and defending sex with children is abnormal, in my opinion.

Some forms of abnormality are relatively harmless but in my opinion that's not one of them.

Normal comprises a wide range.

Outside that are two classes of things.

The first is the merely unusual. Things like my marriage. Soon before we married she was exactly twice my age.

The second is unacceptable. Things like your sexual desires.

Normal is the median of the population. The closer you are to the central tendency, the more 'normal' you are.
Abnormal is simply deviance from the norm.

Ergo, in a loony bin, the doctors are abnormal. In open society, someone with your attitudes towards children is abnormal.

Normality has no correlation with moral value, as far as I can see. And its all very relative anyway.

I went thru a stage in my early 30s when I actually worried about being "normal", but I quickly matured and grew out of that notion.
