Hmmm... a more familiar example of an equally meaningless "tautology" to illustrate how meaningless the "natural selection is circular" argument is:

Broken parts get replaced.
The parts that get replaced are the broken ones.

Oh no! Automobile mechanics is based on a circular argument, and therefore flawed. It must be that a supreme being is involved with fixing all cars.
