This is comical. So what is it exactly that atheists have faith in again?

Magpie, what is it that you think atheists do? Beat up old people? Eat babies? No, our non-belief is characterized by non-action, pure and simple.

Once again, we see the strong/weak atheism thing rear its head.
Weak atheism: No faith. Strong atheism: Some faith. |

i am an atheist.
i pray to my non-god darwin and pray that he may select me through natural selection. i use my nonfaith in my bible, origin of species, to find rules by which to live. oh wait thats all wrong. i see no factual evidence that there is a god and then i go wait maybe there isnt one. |

How would you know what faith is if you have none?

i can see its effect on other people and examine myself for those effects.
faith = resistance to reason. faith = dogma and resistance to change lets see no on both counts, i must be free of faith. its just like a disease, you just have to check for symptoms. |

Let me get this straight ~
Deity: That which is beyond knowledge, but not the common notion of "God". To this strong atheist, that posits your unqualifiable 'deity' as utterly irrelevant to reality in plain view or the real human condition ~ which is qualifiable and is gloriously lacking in fucking 'deities'. And, unless you can point to a deity, what is your point again?! PS Thieving Magpie and seebs: Are you Christians or what? (please recognize that that requires a 'yes' or 'no' answer). |
