"Here is an invisible genie lamp. I think it's malfunctioning. You can wish to it whatever you want, but it's pretty hit or miss if you'll actually get it. But if you do get what you want (or reasonable facsmillie thereof), you can thank the genie! If you didn't, well, try again later. Sometimes wishes will be granted even though you didn't wish for them at all. Oh, yeah, and if you get hit by a train later today and don't die, thank the genie that he didn't let that train load an extra flatbed because then it would have had the force to kill you, and not just paralize you for life. Enjoy the lamp! And if you don't enjoy the lamp, me and my friends here are going to slowly tortue you forever. Have a nice day, you taxes are paying for this lamp."

Question

So, Jesus Freak -

Q. Do you look both ways before crossing the road?

If your answer is “Yes”, then I’ll ask:

Why? You said your god protects you.

Q. Do you have insurance?

If your answer is “Yes”, then I’ll ask:

Why? You said your god protects you.

Q. Do you believe that when something unfortunate happens to someone that your God made it happen?

Q. Why do church steeples have lightning rods?

BTW – Isaac Asimov suggested that Ben Franklin’s lightning rod, when installed on the church steeples of Philadelphia was a landmark of rational thought.

Mohammed Atta would agree -- if he hadn't died flying an airliner into a building for the same reasons Paul cites here.

Also, statistics mean little to me. Statisticly the average person has one ovary, and one testicle. Statisticly this is true, but I don't make the assumption that you have one testicle and one ovary.
With such implacable logic I am really glad that you are on the other side of this debate.

I am advocate of math. I feel that math has done more good than harm. I vote to keep math.
YAY!!! I'll second that!

Aren't you glad the bible never explicitly states thats 2+2=5?
Yes, but according to the buy-bull, PI=3. (From somewhere where god is telling Noah how to build the ark, I think). Basically, the statement is that the circumference of some circle is 3x the diameter. <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />

Wasn't Jesus God according to Christians?

Wasn't it God allowing God to suffer?

And what's innocent about God?
