Has anyone visited this site?

Right now I'm watching a video from it called "Spin".

Quote from the site on it

Quote:
Using the 1992 presidential election as his springboard, documentary filmmaker Brian Springer captures the behind-the-scenes maneuverings of politicians and newscasters in the early 1990s. Pat Robertson banters about "homos," Al Gore learns how to avoid abortion questions, George Bush talks to Larry King about halcyon -- all presuming they're off camera. Composed of 100% unauthorized satellite footage, Spin is a surreal expose of media-constructed reality.
So far its been pretty good.

Thoughts?

Well, I just finished watching the first part. (574 mb)

Man. I thought I knew how much power the media had over the masses, but this shows that they do a hella lot more twisting than I originally thought. Its quite scary.....

The second part is downloading right now, 1.4gigs (1363 mbs), so I got awhile before it finishes. I really suggest that you download the videos if you have a fast internet connection or watch it on realplayer if you don't.

Do you know any way to download these so that you can resume the download if the computer crashes?

My IE has a habit of shutting down every now and then. This download is also very slow and is estimated 14-15 hours. Even though I have broadband.

Very interesting site BTW. Thx for sharing

Oh ya. Get a program called Download Accelerator. It lets you resume downloads, plus it makes downloads go much faster (downloads from the same site multiple times, putting together the different transfers together).

I almost always get atleast 100kb/sec with the program. (the normal actually being around 300kb/sec).

Ah sorry. I didn't think copy and pasting a link was that much work.

Ya, I know. Where you able to get the larger one, that is 1.3gb's to work? I downloaded it twice now, and both times it said it couldn't get the right codec. I have a bunch of codecs, and I searched for more, but no luck so far.

For those of us with (a) dialup connections and (b) tiny hard drives, what is contained in these videos? Don't worry -- my faith in humanity is already pretty low at the moment.

A direct link to the spin pop-up... there is a link for modem users... it doesn't work with my version of RealPlayer though (maybe my software is too old) I'm just going to download an mpeg version.
