I gotta admit, I didn't see that coming.

Default belief system

I hate to get you angry at me so lets define a belief system for you----Belief system is defined as consistent attitude held by people irrespective of the availability of factual information.-Atheism fits this category so it is a belief SYSTEM.If you want to believe in something remotely real then we should concentrate our efforts to build a moral order that rests on creating a dichotamy between constructiveness and destructiveness and not get stuck on the concepts of good and evil.If you believe in good and evil you are not worthy of being called an atheist.

Are you aware that the words "good" and "evil" can be interpreted to mean "constructiveness" and "destructiveness"?

On a side note. You can get some very entertaining links when you do a search for "dnftt".

I disagree with your definition of a belief SYSTEM. I would define it as a set of connected beliefs. Therefore atheism isn't a belief SYSTEM. It's simply a lack of belief in any god or gods. And it's precisely because of the lack of "availability of any factual information" that most of us here define ourselves as atheists.

Btw, thanks for the PM. I'm flattered.

Default good and evil

go to nietzsche--Good-Noble and priveleged Bad-of the common people.Evil is a social construct that implies some form of divine will at work.As an atheist you should know that to imply supreme evil also implies supreme good. You can't make excuses like Bushey does and have any credibility so until you come up with something real stay away.
