Your profile says you are a lab tech, but you also claim to be a fundamentalist Christian. Where did you get your "science" degree, and what sort of lab do you work at?

"You have no right to be here" and "we don't have to let you post here" aren't impolite statements?

Of course not. This is the Christian goodness we've come to expect. All that "turn the other cheek" stuff isn't even an idealistic guideline, it's... umm... figurative. Spare the rod and spoil the child, anyways.

Badfish seems to have gone to sleep without replying to me . Odd, since he is always so quick to reply to everything else in these CF threads.

I am a Hydraulic servo valve technician.

I am studying Computer engineering in college at nights, so I'm not really a scientists, although I have had to take 2 semesters of physics.

Well CF is like a city, and it has to be run in such a fashion to keep the peace, I would interpret what Bear said as you are a guest and the rules must be enforced, as you know Christianity is a target for attack. In exchange for being a member of a board that the owner has extensively modified to be a real fun place, all they ask is that you adhere to the guidelines.

Much like this place, if I broke a rule, and was told something like that, then I would understand and take it with a grain of salt, and follow the rules, see I'm a fundie but I participate here sometimes, but I also understand that I am under the secular forum rules, and as such I cannot overstep the boundries of the forum rules that enforce it's mission.

If we always turn the other cheek on a forum, then all heck would break loose, believe me, we take a lot of heat being Christians over there, and it is a priveledge for an atheist to come and challenge our beliefs.

Well, I have been at CF, fellowshipping and talking to atheists and Christians about an assortment of things. I've also been in the existence of God forum here. Sorry

Lab Tech = Hydraulic servo valve technician?

And physics isn't really a field that fundamentalists have a problem with, as long as it doesn't include any of that Big Bang non-sense. Fundamentalists seems to be able to accept everything in science as long as it does not conflict with their rigid belief that the world is 6,000 years old, although they do misinterpret and misuse some scientific laws and theories if they have to, ie the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Also, most fundamentalist enjoy criticizing science for its "failures," but have no problem reaping the benefits to society it has given (medical technology, computers, modern transportation).

The rules here prevent/punish flaming, trolling, spamming, and such, but do not stifle discussions like the rules at CF do. For example, two people at CF were discussing the accuracy of the Bible. Person A said that the Bible was inerrent, while Person B said it was not and posted a link to a list of Biblical errors and contradictions. The link was removed for "promoting a religion other than Christianity (example taken from CF Outcasts Part 1).

The rules at CF are not there to keep order, rather to keep Christians and Christianity from looking foolish.
