The Viewpoint! 82nd and Columbia, I think, or Lombard. Out there where one turns into the other. Haven't been there, but I've heard that the male dancing side is totally sleazy and gross. I'd much rather go to Darcele's, not that I've been there either.

I actually don't have any desire to attend something like that, although for a party with girlfriends (if I had any ) it could be fun. Only once I saw something similar, but it was put on by a radio station and it was only down to speedos. It was kind of an amateur contest thing, so it was just fun to see the guys cut loose and try and have some fun. I even put a dollar in my teeth and danced it over to this one guy. So that was fun, but beyond that it doesn't appeal.

And I admit that I am uncomfortable with the thought of my partner wanting to go to see women dancers. (He doesn't seem to be interested, so that works out.) I am sure that my thoughts have only to do with my own insecurity with my body and not wanting him to see attractive women further reinforcing my own inadequacies. I realize thats a problem with me , and nothing wrong with the thing in itself.

I am learning a lot from this thread. One thing I now know is that if you put Monica Lewinsky's dress up on a stage in a strip club it would look like a christmas tree. Weird one, but interesting.

I have also learned that men on steroids gets pimples. Which makes me wonder if women might go to strip clubs which had just regular non muscle guys there.

Oriecat makes a point about strip clubs, that women seem to make a lot. They think that their male companion is comparing the stripper's bod to hers and thus is putting hers down. Well, I know that is a classic female insecurity, yet women shouldn't be all that concerned. Most guys look at the stripper on the stage much the same way they do a picture in a girly magazine. It is just damn pleasurable to look at a curvy female body. I don't think that most men go home and feel badly about their own female partners.

I still think that strip clubs are for young single guys, but then I don't think women have to worry about a rare visit by their steady man. The old saying "eye candy" is insightful. A naked women on stage is like candy. Tastes great for a short time but if you stuff yourself with too much, you can get sick.
