Quote:
This is an excerpt from the book "the signature of God."
Over the last four thousand years, Jewish scribes, and later Christian scribes, were very careful to correctly copy and transmit the original manuscripts of sacred Scriptures without any significant error. The Jewish scribes who carefully copied out by hand the manuscripts of the Old Testament were called "Masoretic," from the Hebrew word for "wall" or "fence."
Their extreme care in meticulously counting the letters of the Bible created a "fence around the Law" to defend its absolute accuracy. For example out of the 78,064 Hebrews letters in the Book of Genesis, they counted precisely 4,152 (of a certain hebrew alphabet) letters and 8,448 (of another certain hebrew alphabet) letters. These sages were so precise in counting the exact number of letters in the Scriptures, that they were able to pinpoint the middle verse of Genesis.... When a scribe completed his copy, a master examiner would painstakingly count every individual letters to confirm that there were no errors in the newly copied manuscript. If an error was found, the corrupted copy was destroyed to prevent it ever being used as a master copy in the future.
As proof of the incredible accuracy of this transmission through the centuries, consider the Masoretic and Yemenite translations of the Torah. Over a millennium ago, Yemenite were separated form their brother Jews in the Middle East and Europe. Despite separate transmissions and copying of their Torah manuscripts, a thousand years later only nine Hebrew letters, out of some 304,805 letters in the Yemenite Torah manuscript, differ from the accepted Hebrew Masoretic text of the Torah. Nine letters changed in over 300,000 Hebrew letters....Not one of these nine variant letters in the Yemenite change the meaning of a significant word."
Not to mention "If anyone was so foolish as to attempt to introduce a spurious text with an invented story, miracle, or doctrine, this counterfeit alteration would have been instantly detected and denounced throughout the hundreds of churches."
And also
"Now the skeptic immediately says that the book of Ezekiel must have been written after these events took place. However, archaeological finds have produced Ezekiel texts that are dated to as far back as 400-600 B.C. In this century an almost complete Ezekiel text on stone tablets was found. The type of Hebrew on these tablets indicates that it was from the time of Ezekiel i.e. 500-600 B.C.! There are many scholars who believe that this stone work may be from the hands of Ezekiel himself! Alexander the Great didn't invade the city until 332 B.C., long after Ezekiel's death. The final fulfillment of the prophecy did not happen until 1291 A.D. (i.e., about 1,700 years after Ezekiel's death). The story of Tyre is in the oldest texts known.
Another interesting fact is that these 2,500 year old stone tablets contain exactly the same text as the Hebrew Bible you can buy today. (2) So much for text being lost or changed because of faulty translation! Others might argue luck. Well, the mathematical probability that Ezekiel could have guessed so many unlikely events happening is staggering. But this is only one small prophecy. There are hundreds that have come true! For an extensive treatment of this prophecy see Evidence that Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell."

<--Josh already examined here
So Billy, you can question whether the preachings of the bible are true or not, but you cannot question whether or not the "translations and copies have flaws in them."
