Of course most of you cannot relate to this but seemingly as a man gets older, for some reason hair starts growing out of the inside of his ears. Plucking that long ear hair is really a bitch, just wait.

Trim it. That's what I do with the hairs coming out of my nose. But I'm considering just combing them into my mustache.

I hate painting my finger and toe nails. Hence, most of the time they go bare. I am weird, I enjoy plucking my eyebrows. I enjoy the pain.

Thumbs down

Due to a lot of orthopedic surgery, I've had a lot of foley catheters. I now have scar tissue in the end of my penis, that I have to strech with a uretherl dilater, if I've spelled that right, to keep it from closing up. (pain & revulsion smiley here) I do it once a week.

Aren't you glad I shared that with you?

You're not weird blondegoddess - I enjoy plucking my eyebrows too! I do it about every other day to maintain the ~perfect arch~ hehe... I think it's a little mini-OCD ritual... strangely, though, it doesn't hurt and hasn't for YEARS. I mean it doesn't hurt at all. Maybe because I've been plucking them since I was 16? (I would naturally have Brooke Shields-type eyebrows otherwise )

Most hated beauty ritual: moisturizing all over. I have very dry skin so I have to put lotion on pretty much my whole body after showering, but it takes so damn long. I need to create some kind of lotion-misting-booth that I can just walk through between the bathroom and bedroom. Hmmmm....

That sounds like a job for your husband! I know I'd be happy to do that for a partner. Maybe not every single day, but often.

This thread makes me realize that as a coarse, brutal, shaggy male, I do not have any beauty rituals.

Maybe I'm going to have to add one: the careful selection of just the right bag to wear over my head before I go out the door in the morning.

Unfortunately he is either still at work when I am getting ready for work or sleeping on his days off (he works graveyards and I work regular business hours). But he "helps" me on the weekends sometimes!!! ('course I sometimes end up needing another shower... )

I have very dry skin too, COAS - what I do is mist all over with Avon's Skin So Soft (it comes in a nice shower-ready spray bottle) before I turn the water off. Then I blot dry with a nice fluffy towel. That seems to help seal moisture in, and I find I don't have to lotion all over - just the real dry spots like heels and elbows and knees.

I hate plucking my eyebrows, too. OUCH! Tweezerman tweezers ($21, but they're a godsend) make it a lot easier - they're very sharp and can grip even those tiny half-grown hairs.

I have to say this for ju'iblex's benefit: I don't grow body hair. I have an extremely light down, and that's about it - I've gotten teased mercilessly for supposedly shaving my entire body. I wish I could be a little more natural, actually - I feel sort of dumb not ever having to shave my legs.

Hate...you!!!

I would kill to be able to say the same thing about myself. Damn my Northern European ancestry.
