Default I haven't seen it posted yet, so...

Heeeeeerre's Jack!

A rather dull one, another anti-Catholic whatsit. Apparently, Catholics don't follow the Bible.

Also features that evangelical favourite, the end of the world, but isn't as good as his other end-of-the-world ones.

Still, features top moustache action, and some damn ugly sinners. Also, God was much nicer to people before they got all this "political correctness" (that is, when they weren't being kind and allowing people to think for themselves). It must be true, Bob said so.

I think it is funny that Chick quotes Matthew 24 as Jesus describing the end of the world. Yet later on in Matthew 24:36 he says that it will happen in the lifetime of his audience. Most Christians, when confronted with this verse, say that Jesus is prophesying the coming of the church (even though it is obvious he is talking about the end of the world :banghead: ) I wonder what Jack Chick would say Matthew 24:36 means?

Also, Chick quotes that famous passage from the First Epistle of Paul to the Thessalonians, "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up with them in the clouds...." "We" who, Paul?

But let's not dwell on such details. Chick tracts now star not one, but two combed-over Christians: Bob and Ex-Father Damien. Praise!

I note that in this tract Heaven appears to be literally upwards. Does this mean that true believers, as well as denying evolution, also deny modern astronomy and cosmology? Where exactly do they think Heaven is?

Isn't it sad that so many people waste their lives believing and worrying about this sort of rubbish!

I don't know much about Revelations or the end times...so, maybe I'm just misunderstanding something.

The John Waters-looking fella in the strip says:

"God is patient. He won't come for His church until the last person is saved."

If that's the case, then exactly *who* gets left behind? I mean if everyone is "saved", then wouldn't that mean that no one gets left behind?
