...which, developmentally speaking, is roughly true.

And WWSD, my gal Joan Chen can tear off Kelly Hu's ear with her teeth, and I'd pay to watch.

My first reaction to WWSD's post was, "Kelly who?" The only one of her films I've seen is Strange Days, and of the others, I only have a passing interest in The Scorpion King. I don't watch any of those TV shows she's on either. Hollywood Squares is up against Jeopardy, so there's no contest (not that I'd watch HS anyways).

Anyway, when I was a theist, I'd probably have argued that God, supposedly being all-powerful, could assume any form desired, male, female, animal, burning bush, etc. Actually, nowadays, I like the Dogma image of God, as played by Alanis Morrissette. Sort of hippy looking.

Your evidence for this?

If God could created this whole universe, then He could also know about His creations everywhere, and interact with them.

If she does notice it she is not likely to yell down orders to all those fruitcakes who come to us telling us all about what God said. Cause she ain't never yelled down nothin to nobody.
If we aren't relevant to God, then God isn't relevant to us. If God is first cause and nothing else, then God is nothing more than an explanatory hypothesis, a gap which scientific investigation may well plug one day.

Carl Sagan said science makes God big while religion keeps Him small. I have to disagree. The "God" as revealed by science is as small as can ever be, a most irrelevant impersonal God, whereas the God of the Bible and the Qur'an, the personal intervening God, is truly a great, relevant being. Theism is a way of life; Deism is just a philosophical theory.

(note: this is not to say I'm a theist. I deny both theism and deism, being a naturalist. But given the choice between theism and deism, as to which one should give my life meaning, I would prefer the former.)

gee I don't care what gender you assign to the deity. My argument was that the god in the bible is not a real god. Yes the god of the universe is very big indeed. That bible gad, (and that one was a he for sure)he used to be able to handle first the children of Israel only. I think later he opened a few franchises for some other sorts of people, but at the top of his game, all he could handle was a small disc of flat earth in the middle east. No the guy is too late by 14 billion years, and too small by twenty six quadrillion light years. And way too cranky, irritable, and nasty besides.
