Simple...
xian, your premise is based on a strawman. Observe:

Yet another alleged supernatural explanation left by the wayside. And there was much rejoicing. |

Where are these magical questions ?
First of all, to even claim such a thing, show your questions. Second of all, we could post your questions to other forums to get samples of people. At least 10 per forum and mix them up. Keep in mind that there are various samples of people out there, we're not all closed up with other atheists, but a higher percentage than normal is a likely possibility. So drop trying to find your 12 %, but put your other claim to the test. 90 % of a sample. If we could get say 100 people with an unspecfied amount of atheists, but let's say we get 27 of them. Would you be willing to test blindly on a flat number group. Success would be getting (i'd give to the nearest integer) you picking 24/27 right, all 27 but picking 30. or within that range with a better hit ratio (like 26 out of 28). (And I'd agree that the odds of doing this are harder than 90 % due to the unknown people in a sample.) Only 12% (a VERY liberal estimate) of the US population is atheistic. According to probability, in a double blind test where 100 atheists are in a room and 100 theists are in another room, I should be only able to identify 12 out of 100 people as atheists in the room that contains atheists. This statement contains certain ambiguities though, my test idea averts the fact that you'd know there were x-amount of atheists. the other ambiguity is if there is a room with purely 100 % atheists in it, you are sure to find more than 12 %. If you succeed, you may be luckier and better able to predict and analyze than John Edward. If you fail, hey, at least you tried (and we'd all have fun, even you). But you brought it up. Backing out would be the worst possible thing for you to do. (i just noticed the last post. Not as elaborate, but same message.) |

what school brainwashed you into this idea that stereotyping is universally "bad?" |

why do you all want me to identify you?
You are atheists. There...done. how accurate was I? p.s. but you people are easy. I could do this in a double blind test as I outlined in my OP. |

to all the doubters of my powers:
i can identify atheists. now, like Christianity, no two atheists will have the exact same views on everything. but also, like Christianity, there exists certain philosophical viewpoints common to atheists such that in general atheists will agree with them....allowing me to excercise my supernatural power and "pluck them" out of the crowd, so to speak, like a ripe cherry. |
