Default The movie ideas floating around in my head....

Well, since I'm bored out of my skull, I think I'm going to list all the movie ideas that are bouncing around in my head. One of these days, I'll get around to writing scripts for these films. I'm just looking for some feedback from you guys.

Here is the list:

A story of a group of three friends who spend a wild Saturday night going down State Street in Madison, WI and the people they meet, which inlude the following: A young college-age lesbian couple who are chained to each other, A former stockbroker who hit it big in the 1980s who decided to place all of his wealth in a bank after the death of his wife and children and live as a homless man on State Street in a state of self-imposed exile or as he calls it "white martyrdom", A vehemently homphobic street preacher picketing across the street from a gay bar that ends up being duped into eating a marjiuana brownie by one of the three going down State Street. There will be more people, but I'm still working on it. Possible Title: State Street: Eight Blocks Surrounded By Reality.

A group of Street Medics who take part in a large scale demonstration of an economic summit that eventually turns violent. Possible titles: Star of Resistance, Street Medics, Medics

A ragtag group of amatuer rocketeers, professors, (one of which is 15 years old) and engineers build, design and launch thier own rocket capable of delivering a small payload into low earth orbit in order to win a 1.5 billion dollar prize. Possible Title: LEO

A director gets tired of working for a company that makes educational television shows for little pay decides to move to Southern California in order to work for a porn studio started by one of his old high school classmates. Although he is good at his job, and quickly rises to the top of his game, deep down he hates his job. He is torn betwen the decision to stay with the porn industry, which has borught him a lot of fame and money, or leave a job that he dislikes. Possible title: Skin Trade

A film version of the Kevin Kling play The Ice Fishing Play. It's about an aging Wisconsinite resort owner who confronts the ghosts of his past, (such as his friend the bait store owner, who thinks he is extremley intelligent, but really isnt, his older brother, who drowned while serving in the Navy during the 1970's, his wife who recently died of a heart attack, and two missionaries who froze to death looking for souls to save in the north) while ice fishing in his shanty for a legendary fish. Possible Title: The Ice Fishing Movie

A film about life in a northern Wisconsin CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) camp during the mid '30s. Possible title: Soldiers of the Forest

A man and a woman have what many consider to be the perfect loving realtionship. The catch: it only lasts for four hours, the time it takes for the S.S. Badger to travel from Manitowoc, WI to Luddington, MI. the film would be shot on board the SS Badger. I haven't come ou with a decent title yet.

A comedy about a journalist who interviews God, who appears in the form of a foulmouthed college student who explains biblical events in a most blasphemous way, for example, he says that he had sex with Mary because he got sick of having sex with all the other female deities from human history and decided to get "a piece of mortal booty". He also claimed that he used the whole messiah excuse to convince Joseph that Mary wasn't really cheating on her. I want to make this the most blasphemous film in the history of cinema. Possible title: Interview With the Almighty

An 18 year old woman who was raised by strict coservative Christain parents struggles during her deconversion to atheism while in college. Possible title: Facing the Light of Day

A 16 year old Minnesotan Lutheran rural farm boy of the 1950's manages to convince his parents who have never travled further than 40 miles from the farm to let him go to the Luther League National Convention in Miami, FL, where he plays hooky from the convention in order to see the sights, all the while dealing with the guilt that while he's living it up, his family's working thier asses off back home on the farm. Possible title: See You Soon in Miami

A comedy about a bunch of teams of Drivers including a team or rednecks who have an Air force-surplus turbojet engine duct taped to the top of their trusty rusty old pickup truck, a team of male strippers driving an old fire truck, a bunch of drag queens driving a souped up Yugo, A silly old British Upper class twit and his butler, and his Cheaufer driving a Rolls-Royce limosine, a Southern California soccer mom with a sever road rage problem and her weenie yuppie husband in thier Lincoln Navigator, and others compete in Nome-Mexico City road rally. I haven't decided on a title for this one yet.
