If AU looks partisan, it is only because the Republicans have been taken over by the religious right, and are on record at various times and places as opposing the separation of church and state.

I'm sure AU would gladly work with Republicans who support separation.

Does anybody know of one who does?

Correlation-Causation Fallacy. It could be either because there is more of these breaches occuring in the Repub camp, and/or because they were biased against Repubs.

Because of media bias against stories that don't fit the normative standard, the relation of the Religious Right to the Republican party, as well as our legal right to Presumed Innocence, allegations they are biased are baseless without specifics.
